We go at your own pace and you will learn new skills in a supportive, and non- judgemental space. There is evidence based treatment called Cognitive Behavioural Therapy/ ERP- for OCD. Treatment focuses on understanding how OCD is maintained and how to deal with the intrusive thoughts, images, or urges with ERP – Exposure and Response prevention and using a non-engagement approach to obsessions.
With anxiety we also use CBT in a similar but different way. We look at your thought patterns around worry and the safety and avoidance behaviours that you do that maintain anxiety. I truly care about the struggle with anxiety and OCD. I know it’s not easy but there is effective treatment strategies for both.
